Welcome to my Website!

Hey there! I'm Khallaco ^o^

I created this website for a few reasons:

1. I want to cope with my nagging 2000's nostalgia in a healthy way, and the main thing that comes to mind is reconnecting with my time as an internet kid who loved online games. Neocities feels like a piece of home to my inner internet kid, so here I am haha...
2. I spend a lot of time in my head, but I don't get to talk about my thoughts much, so I decided to create a space where I can write to anyone who would stop by to read.
3. Since entering high school in the 2010's, I steadily lost sight of my true self and began to focus on what I thought everyone else wanted me to do or be. So, this time, I'm just trying to do all the (positive) things that I feel like doing; like resuming my web development studies (despite currently being enrolled in an unrelated degree programme in a community college); learning to code in C++; developing my neglected visual art skills; making my own video game... and of course, making a Neocities website where I can post updates about all that stuff!
4. In line with the previous reason, I'd just like to be myself somewhere where people can "see" me. All my friends are physically far away and the people who I'm around aren't bad, but they also don't get to experience me in my true comfortable state. It makes me depressed sometimes when I realise how much I mask my true self or how little I can relate to those in my immediate spaces. Maybe this website can be a healthy outlet for my personality and interests!

I don't know how much I'll be able to commit to this website as yet, because it's difficult for me to balance anything I care about with my current academic journey ;-; But I wanted to at least start; hopefully, the rest will come with time - even if it's a long-ish wait! Let's see what happens :)

For now, I'll upload this html file in its unfinished state, as my own sort of "commitment" to finish it. Here's to new beginnings!
